Collin County Alternative Dispute Resolution Program

Promoting Access to Justice

CCAP

Collin County Alternative Dispute Resolution Program (CCAP) supports the Collin County community by offering affordable mediations for many different types of legal disputes through the generosity of volunteer mediators, the Alternative Dispute Resolution fees collected by Collin County, and with the support of the Collin County Commissioners Court.

Resolving your case is mediation is often a much more efficient way to find closure than through a final trial in Court.

Once your case has been ordered to mediation by the Court, you can choose a mediator from our calendar of qualified mediators.

Why Choose Mediation

Fast

Rather than waiting months (or even years) for your case to slowly make its way through the court system, your case can be settled in as few as one session.

Enforceable

Mediated settlement agreements can be enforced just like any other contract. They’ve consistently been upheld in courtrooms in Texas.

Affordable

The cost of mediation is determined by the level of your case. It’s kept low thanks to generous donations from the Collin County community.

Confidential

In mediation, parties and their communications are kept confidential and private in most cases.

Effective

Mediators are skilled at encouraging both parties to listen, acknowledge issues, and work toward a solution.

Controlled

When you mediate, you have far more control over both the process and the outcome than you would otherwise.
